This poem was written by two of our peer advocates during today's creative workshop.
How I want the world to be
I turn on the TV and all that I see
is a world of chaos shown back to me.
In spite of my tears, my worries, my fears,
I see it. On the horizon, hope appears.
I hope for peace and not for war.
I just don’t want it anymore.
Because how much more can our world take?
We all need a break.
A break from destruction.
A break from hate.
A break from abuse and violence.
To learn from our mistakes.
I want a world where people’s dreams come true.
No distinction between me and you.
A world for the many and not for the few.
